I've been collecting since the early 1990s from Football to Basketball and gradually moved to all sports. My passion now is within the Non-sports realm. My favorite teams include Capitols, Nationals, Celtics & yes, I'm a Dallas Cowboys fan and yes, I do live in the Washington, DC area. Did I mention the Redskins sucks!!! I run a small sports card show in Fairfax, VA (being a promoter). I feel the hobby isn't dead yet, it's how you look at things and what's hot these days is how you live and stay consistent in this hobby business. I will always be a collector but I feel it doesn't hurt to resell or trade to keep the hobby going. Whether it's that Dak Prescott or Tom Brady Autograph or those (20) $0.10 shoeboxes, there's always someone willing to spend a buck or find that favorite player or team so you can't lose faith in the hobby.

 

In regards to non-sports, today's TV series and movies has brought fans from all over country to look for that favorite actor's relic/swatch or autograph to have so they can appreciate or hold a piece of history to cherish. From the Rittenhouse Game of Thrones Series to Cryptozoic The Big Bang Theory Series, I see more and more fans are coming out and showing interest in the non-sports side of the hobby and it's a different take that interested me into getting into it more.
